Richard Meager's philosophy has been to introduce only products that fulfil strict criteria. She can produce pieces for large public areas, and is currently working on reproducing Scottish artists' paintings in wool form, either as rugs or wall art. From Scotland, her designs are sent to Nepal where they are hand knotted using only the finest Tibetan wool, silks and natural dyes. The whole process is hand done - including the designing stage - as Jean prefers to draw, paint or stitch a small "maquette" of the design rather than use a computer. She has just returned from Nepal where she secured her weavers from the recommended Rugmark list.

After graduating from the Glasgow School of Art, Liz was interested in bringing her rug designs to life. The studio creates hand knotted rugs in limited editions of 500. The first collection Landscapes is based on aerial views of landscapes from around the world. The rugs capture the delight of looking out the window of an aeroplane. The moment before landing when distance and size are blurred and the world is at your feet. Landscapes launched at 100% Design Futures for new designers, winning a silver Blueprint award for Most Promising New Talent. The rugs have since featured in Architects' Journal, Blueprint, I.D., Interior Design, Canadian House & Home, and top design blogs.
