Complex single order rugs are our speciality. Hand made by the best weavers in Nepal in qualities up to the finest 300 line in silk and Cashmere wool. To produce these works of art we need the most experienced weavers. We use Goodweave and our own independent Nepalese staff to inspect the weaving and weaver’s conditions and confirm no children are involved.

L E Design was formed in September 2009 by Canadian-born designer Liz Eeuwes. After graduating from the Glasgow School of Art, Liz was interested in bringing her rug designs to life. The studio creates hand knotted rugs in limited editions of 500. The first collection Landscapes is based on aerial views of landscapes from around the world. The rugs capture the delight of looking out the window of an aeroplane. The moment before landing when distance and size are blurred and the world is at your feet.
Landscapes launched at 100% Design Futures for new designers, winning a silver Blueprint award for Most Promising New Talent. The rugs have since featured in Architects' Journal, Blueprint, I.D., Interior Design, Canadian House & Home, and top design blogs. The rugs will also feature in the Sunday Herald Magazine, and Homes & Interiors Scotland this autumn.
A bespoke service is also available. Bespoke commissions are also welcome as well as variations on any existing designs. All shapes and sizes are possible.
